Based in the Reading Room of the Old Buninyong Library, the Buninyong Information Centre holds a wide range of interesting material: tourist brochures and maps, books, objects and photos, family history resources, and burial records of the Buninyong Cemetery.
Friendly volunteers are on hand to advise you about things to do in and around Buninyong and to assist you with genealogical or historical enquiries.
Low-cost public internet access is also available.
Call in to see us and pick up your copy of the current Buninyong Visitor Guide. It is a great reference booklet for visitors and local residents alike with up-to-date information about Buninyong and district: places to stay, parks and gardens, shops, interesting walks, history, sporting facilities, and where to go for a meal or a coffee.
Our heritage-listed building is easy to find in the heart of Buninyong.
History of the Old Buninyong Library
Buninyong Joint Library Trust
The Buninyong Joint Library Trust Inc. is a community-based not-for-profit incorporated association which meets regularly in the Reading Room of the Old Library. The Trust owns and manages the Old Library building and, with the aid of a dedicated team of Volunteers, it uses the Reading Room and foyer to run the Buninyong Information Centre. The Trust also publishes the Buninyong Visitor Guide and the Buninyong Community website.
Buninyong Visitor Guide
The current Buninyong Visitor Guide (click image left to open) is a handy guide to Buninyong. It includes maps, photos and lots of local information. Print copies are available from the Buninyong Information Centre. Many thanks to the Community Bank Buninyong for funding thiis publication.
Buninyong Community Website
The Buninyong Joint Library Trust also manages the Buninyong Community Website from Old Library.

The Buninyong Community Website won the Leonie Dunbar Memorial Award for Community Websites at a Gala Dinner held on Tuesday 30th August 2016 in the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne for the 2016 Australian and New Zealand Internet Awards (ANZIAs).
